Fluency:
  1. Read the punctuation and sentence structure to interpret a writer's specific meaning.
  2. Read silently at an appropriate rate.
Word StudyRecognize and use short vowel sounds in the middle of words that include a consonant cluster. Notice unfamiliar words and use context and word parts to derive the meaning

Activity:
Independent Writing: Write about why Emma's dad was important to the story.  Use the pages you marked to give examples from the story. 
Introduce new text "Nothing But Trouble!"
