  • Identify internal conflict in a text
  • Notice character change
  • Notice and critique the way a writer ends a story
  • Discuss the role of supporting characters
  • Discuss a writer's message(s).
  • Engage actively in conversation about a book
Word Study/Vocabulary:
  • Muttered......why is Ronny muttering?
  • Decoding and Vocabulary as needed throughout the text
Fluency:
  • Read orally with fluency and phrasing.
Activity:
  • Group discussion of chapters 6 and 7
  • Introduce chapters 8 and 9
  • Group Reading: Chapters 8 and 9
  • Discussing and revisiting the text!
